It’s somewhat assumed that some Chinese folk aren’t really satisfied with their sex life. Perhaps it’s the pollution that results in ugly sperm or smart phone games; we’ll never know. But hold your horses netizens, how about a child sex doll?! DHgate, one of China’s top global merchants was (keyword being “was”; their site is no longer selling the product) selling a sex doll on their site. This sex doll is the image of a young girl, possibly ranging from the age of 6 to 8. Beyond the fact that this is creepy–inordinately creepy, it raises some very serious ethical questions.

Tech in Asia had a chance to take a look at the page before it was taken down and the description for the product reads as follows:

“Described as a ‘beautiful young girl sex doll for men,’ the item costs $178 and is available to ship worldwide…57 of them have been sold so far to customers in the US, UK, Japan, Germany, and more.”

The doll has caused such an outrage across the internet, there is now an advocacy agency called Dining for Dignity that has set up a protest page up on Facebook calling for DHgate to pull down the product. A petition also has been set to stop the sale of child-like sex dolls, click here for more information.
