My Little Chinese Picture Dictionary
My Little Chinese Picture Dictionary is designed to help young learners -- especially elementary and junior high school students -- learn new Chinese vocabulary in a meaningful context through engaging illustrations. It is presented from the perspective of a child, including 70 topics covering all aspects of a child’s life. Each topic focuses on 15 to 20 contextually-related words and phrases.
This picture dictionary features about 1,400 high-frequency and age-appropriate words, conveniently split into 70 topics covering all aspects of a child’s life. Each word or phrase is accompanied by its pinyin and foreign language translation. To provide the students additional opportunities to use the target words in an authentic context, each topic also includes one of the following features: “Practice This Conversation”, “Grammar Point” or “Say in Chinese”. These features are effective tools, designed to help the students use the new words to describe everyday life, practice conversations, and learn Chinese grammar.
