Despite all the obvious plastic surgery she has went through, Fan Bingbing (范冰冰) is known as one of the prettiest, most well known and influential Chinese celebrities. And now she is more plastic than ever before. While the movie theaters are showing the marvel hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, where Bingbing plays alongside Hollywood hunks Hugh Jackman and Michael Fassbender, she has now been awarded with an honor that acknowledges her plastic beauty in the eyes of others.
In what is quite the bauble, Fan Bingbing is now the first ever Chinese actress to be invited to join the Barbie global celebrity Hall of Fame. Fan attended the special ceremony marking the launch of the Fan Bingbing Celebrity Specialty Doll in Shanghai, alongside doll designer Robert Wallace.
Its a dream of many girls to have a Barbie doll, let alone actually becoming one, but now young fans of the superstar have a chance to actually buy a Barbie Bingbing. The doll has gorgeous black hair set in a bun, big eyes, and Bingbing’s magnetic charm, and, to be honest, she does look like the real Fan Bingbing. Barbie is wearing Fan’s infamous traditional Chinese inspired gown that she wore at the Cannes Festival in 2010; Madame Tussauds wax figure of Fan also wears the same gown. How’s that for authenticity?
The package includes the doll, a set of accessories ,and a birth certificate (well, official proof of the doll’s origin at least). For additional money you can also get a doll with Fan’s autograph! But even without the autograph a doll is going to cost a cool 888 RMB, a little too much for a Barbie, don’t you think?
