Last week, at Beijing’s E-Town Humanoid Robot Half Marathon, ”Lightning”—built by Chinese smartphone company Honor—crossed the finish line in just 50 minutes and 26 seconds, beating the human record by seven minutes. The race offered a glimpse into the rapid evolution of China’s humanoid robots over the past year.
